Sunday Bloody Sunday

Busy day!

Had a boy come over over shagdar at 4am to help me relieve stress, he left at 6am.

Tidied a cupboard, did some shopping, made some quiche...

Recipe for delicious Fetters Quiche:+

Utensils: Sieve, bowl, 8" sandwich tin or ring.

Pastry:

150g Plain flour

75g hard butter or margerine

pinch of salt.

+Filling:

100ml milk,

100ml single cream

handful of brocolli

3 rashers streaky bacon

5 spring onions

2 eggs and 1 extra egg yolk

salt and pepper.

Sieve the flour and a pinch of salt, add the hard margerine in little chunks, cut up/mix with a knife. Try not to touch it or melt the margerine. When it’s as mixed as you can use your fingertips to rub the fat into the flour briefly. Use a tiny bit of cold water to bind it together into a lump.

Wrap in cling film and chill for 5 mins.

Roll out and line a sandwuich tin – chill for another 5 mins.

Put into a hot oven at 210C until it is hard but not gained colour. Leave to cool.

For the filling – i microwave the brocolli in a covered bowl for about 2 or 3 mins to start it softening, fry the onions and bacon for 2 or 3 minutes to colour it. Put the brocolli and bacon mxture in the bottom of the pastry case.

Mix the milk, cream and eggs together, add salt and pepper to taste. pour over the brocolli mix. Bake at 150C for 45 mins or until set.

Yummy – some people add cheese before cooking too.

Just heard that pretty Andy is having problems at home and is coming to stay for a bit.. yey!
