this song is about a night i had with my ex while out with mates one time – drinking on a beach – we sort of wanted to be by ourselves and we found a spot under the moonlight and “talked” this night i will remember. but the fact is we thought we were only gone 20 minutes or so but it was an hour and a half and everyone was looking for us.In The Moonlight We Talked

I wrote this the day after that night, obviously thinking i’d be with him for a long time, lasted 3 more months together. i ended it. i already said why. but that was the height of our relationshp if you can it that. but i love how that captures how in love i was.
