The Galstonbury entry – Day Trois

Right. Nearly halfway there, just got to keep up appearances and make each post count. Woke up to find everyone already awake and buzzing about like maniacs, crazy people. I had another quick shower, and came back to see the plan for today. Today was the day that we were going to pick up punkasspuppy so with a short breakfast (cooked by steve, because he is just pure awesomeness) , and a rather embarrassing Yoyo practicing session (I suck so bad… *sniff*) we headed back into incense town! Yay!

A short shopping session later that I can’t really remember quite well, we caught up with Mike at the bus stop. A short introduction later we all bugged off to the campsite for drinks, rest, and figuring out the plans for tonight. Me and abeneplacito moved away to practice some martial art defense techniques (which, of course, I totally owned in. Look at the pictures people!) and puppy taught me a few trust exercises as well, which, of course, totally owned.

Now we formerly planned on going to go see a bunch of musicians play at the local pub called the Backpackers (which I kept calling Barebackers unconsciously), but cancelled it thanks to my constant ranting (I had just drank about 50 cartons of Oj beforehand) to go to the top of the Tor at night. So, after stopping for a bit of fish and chips (some girl walked up to us and went ‘So, which one of you wants to take me out’ At which point I pulled an ugly face and pointed to Dom) we walked up the MASSIVELY HIGH HILL OF DOOM to the Tor itself.

It took ages. IT was steep. It was exhausting, nobody except me thought scott could make it. But I thought ‘come on Lloyd. You have to do this. Magical Place in the world. If there is any place demons can be summoned it can be there.. come on!”

I got up there. Caught my breath, looked around.. and felt.. nothing. No ley lines, no demon portals, no rising phoenixes, no fireballs, no galatic battles, no nothing. At all. I was so disappointed I just lay back on the floor and fumed.

Then it happened. Something rather weird. I know I can easily wash it off as wishful thinking, but still it was a bit of a shock.

I had lay down with intent of sleeping for a while, when I thought (empathis on thought) I felt the earth move. Like a slow rise and falling motion. Like breathing. It felt rather odd, and I tried to ignore it but it kept bugging me. Unconsiously I started breathing around the same pattern, and then I stared up and could see the stars. It was… weird. But pretty never the less. The sky was so clear I could see straight up, and it looked like I could see further.. like I could see an entire galaxy up there.

I lay there for rather long, just doing that, feeling VERY weird and odd and good at the same time. When we left I just sighed and carried on. Stuff like this just makes me feel odd and tingly… plus lying down there was a rather good time to go over my thoughts of the year. Things that happened, feelings that have come and gone.. hmm.. I should have said something. I can’t keep thinking that some things are my burden and my burden alone to bear. Perhaps one day I will get over that.

Anyway, we came back, started a fire again, and went to bed. So ended Day 3. Next up, Sunday.

Random Thought: My feet hurt....
