a flippant comment about theQuébecois keeping Canada sane. But my good friend Dr Nix emigrated over that way a little while back. Apparently (who’d've thought) I was being a bit silly. Actually (so I’m told) all the Québecois (apart from Julie, presumably, and Dr Isabelle Côté, of course) are rednecks who are more obsessed with their language than we Welsh types and screw about with Canadian politics. Or something.Still, twas really good to get a mail from her (we’re both far too shit at remembering to email each other) and she should be coming over here sometime soon(ish), so we can catch up over gins and tonic.
