Holy Wasp’s Nest

Out of the house at 7.30am this morning. Had to get something out of the garage to take with me to site. This then involved rolling the car out of the garage to get at the pipes which were lying across the rafters. There was a small spehrical thing hanging close to the edge of the roof like a peeled orange. Looks like a wasps nest. The sensible thing would be either leave it alone or get it removed but I’m tempted to hit it with a stick to see what happens.

The thought of it hanging there is freaking me out... I’ve never been stung (by a wasp) in fact to get away from one as a child I threw a whole glass of Ribena over my sister (accidentally). AS I usually have to park the car in the garage after dark I am a bit concerned that I could get stung.

I’m tempted to set fire to it as I’ve watched a Ray Mears Progrmme where tribesmen heat up an insect nest and the critters make a wierd popping sound as they explode. How does he stay so chubby living off grubs and berries? I wonder if he uses a dock leaf to wipe up his latrine dirt? Hmmm....

Left work at 7.35pm today- at this rate I shall be camping there overnight by the end of the week. Managed to miss all my connections home that make the journey as fast as possible and ended up sitting on the platform at Ickenham station at 8.50pm with only two loons doing synchronised dancing at the other end to amuse me. Some people.
