Watford Gaffe
To Watford this morning. Got the train back to Harrow-on-the-Hill and then north to Watford. I always wondered what Harrow-on-the-Hill was like going the other way (not into London) of a morning, now I know.Watford station is pretty much just plonked in the middle of a residential street, quite a nice one at that judging by the cars. I guess when it was built the houses weren’t even there and it was in the middle of nowhere. I read somewhere that Watford station was the epitome of what the Metropolitan line tried to achieve in suburban London- in the heart of the suburbs on an ordinary street. Of course if the planned link to Watford Junction goes ahead then that station will be shut and no doubt razed to the ground and replaced with swanky apartments. Of course, losing a major transport link will have a knock on effect on the desirability of the local area but hey-ho can’t have it both ways, unless you’re certain MPs.
Glad it rained, not enough in my opinion to take some of the heat out of the air. I can’t remember many days last year when I was brave enough to go to work without my rain coat just in case- even in the summer (exceopt for the incident where I ended up sleeping overnight in Manchester airport) but I’ve decided to be braver this year, got an umbrella and leaving the coat at home. Working so far, only been spat on (with rain) a couple of times- obviously plenty of people have spat on me for other reasons but none in the last few days either. A good all-round result!
Watched some of Big Brother- is it obligatory to have big tits to be on that show this year? The girls all seem to have mammaries that resemble sandbags in size and probably consistency. They look like they could suffocate a domestic animal with them- or stop a bullet.
