In Wiv Da Kidz
I frightened people on the tube this morning. I closed my eyes as soon as I got on it and slept/ pretended to sleep the whole 45 minute journey except when I awoke with a start and scared the woman sitting beside me.A man got on at the same stop as me and I sat opposite him. He was listening to his ipod or ipod substitute. we both got off at the Holborn. I wonder what the chances of that happening again are? He wore a black suit with a plain black tie. I wondered if he was an undertaker at first then settled for a memeber of a blues brothers tribute band. I hope he had a nice day at work.
Each morning is like a rotten pregnancy. I wake up feeling sick, have to rush to the toilet then be careful not to gag as I’m brushing my teeth. This morning I almost threw up. The moment I dread is opening Outlook and seeing how many aggrevating messages there are. Usually none but even if there are, only then can I relax. I hate email! People will put things in an email that they would never say to your face, or at least my face.
I wish I could de-stress. I think the only way I can do that is by changing jobs. Four years of pent up annoyance and serving my company dutifully (or three normal years and one incredibly awful one) have worn me down and I don’t think any amount of holiday will let me forget about it. Every day I think about doing something else, never mind a career I’m interested in self preservation at this point. At least I have a week off in a week’s time.
Cheerier things to think about are DJ / MC names. Quintessentially british ones though. How about:
MC T-tau (except it would be the greek symbol not the word) and pronounced like Tea-Towel
DJ D-Tritus
DJ Korn-u-kopia
MC Vain-E-Collossus
MC Sinamen (cinnamon geddit??)
MC Phools Gawld
DJ Boun-Tay Barr
MC Mini miluk
MC Freng Konnekschun
And basically any other word you can spell phonetically swapping ‘c’ for ‘k’ and hyphenating; or even
DJ Hyfon-Ation
