Sober now...
The Doom-Day is over and done, I’m now a tee-totaller. And not doing too badly so far, with over 24hours of not doing it... admitedly, I have been sleeping for a lot of those so far... but that was all down to Wedsdays/Thursday.Which was fun. As per, normal and the plan, the Retro drinkage thing was fun: although I didn’t drink nearly enough, and was summoned for Kareoke too early, and did it badly – even by my so-called standards. But heck, it could (I think) have been worse... think the walk-off for “You’re Gorgeous”. Hummm...
And then, after Retro, I became initiated to the Limehouse scene, which was a nice change: White Swan for a start, where I did the joys of tee-totalism in a boozer : Red Bull, saw some pretty things, and saw some exposure. Oooh er! The joys of Amateur Strip-NIght I guess...
So that was alright, and then the initiation to Chariots – which was no-where as sleazy as I had been led to believe: huzzah – thoroughly enjoyable, although by the end of it bloody lenses were gunged up and seeing was not becoming easy. Some nice eye-candy there, including the Turkish-Cypriot. How useless at names I am 😜
Hummm... morning time, and after getting ready to leave, Sal and I trotted down Central, on the hunt for Matins... ended up at the Abbey: where Bush was meant to be visiting later that day – so the whole pllava of trying to get in: police man/boy – “Do you have any ID?” – so we had to explain Matins and that*worship* goes on in Churches, and that we wanted to go in... he had to check with a colleague... hummmm.
We did get in – but it wasn;t sung, so disappointment there.
After that a spot of breakfast, a brief wander, procurement of Attitude and then home... 19hours after I set out... sleep was good 😉
