I turned down Heaven tonight...
I be in a fantastic mood – back from Brixton Academy where I saw Air, along with jaydee_chelt; www.outpages.com/jpc www.outpages.com/phoenixrising & www.outpages.com/fraggleA*fantastic*0 gig, flawless too. The warm-up/support act, ‘JoyZip’0 apparently, were very nice too – I want their CD.
The Air performance was really really really good. I was mostimpressed; some excellent tracks fromTalkie Walkie ,Moon Safari and a couple I couldn’t place. They saved‘Sexy Boy’0 as part of the encore – and that was really, really, good too. I really do like the video for that too.
The gig. Wow. Music very good; the punters enjoyed it; the sound/accoustics: fucking excellent, and not all that loud, but loud enough (we were quite close to the front – which was really kewl). Lighting was spot on.
Some fantastic tricks with the moving heads; and the gobo effect (oily) for the first of the encores (I really am crap at remembering things!) was just fuckin' excellent.
Hum, so the tube journey on the way back was without comment too -‘you two not talking then?’ or words to that effect were asked by a rather nice Irish chap just before London Bridge – where we split.... golly.
As for Heaven, well my lifestyle and approach to things I would hope send me to the joys of the Underworld, where Beezlebubb can torment me for eternity... it’s the Clwb...
If only I’d thought to take the digicam...
