DIY has fucked me off todayI’ve been nursing my brother all of this weekend after he’s had a big row with his girlfriend. They’ve been together on and off and on for three years now. They are only together still as they are too scared to live apart. I suppose this is OK when you’re 60 but he’s 20 this year. I like being a woofter sometimes.....it just helps to think like your partner does. Saying that – I have no idea what Nige is thinking at all.
I’ve broken my saw, I’ve splintered my skirting board, I’ve hammered so hard to try and make space for a plugsocket that I’ve come through into the hallway. THERE ARE WIRES EVERYWHERE!!! I even switched off the whole circuit at the mains ans there was STILL a live wire running through the bedroom. Two days I’ve had to do this, and all I have done is an excavation in my main bedroom that Time Team would be proud of. I’ve uncovered relics of the 1930’s, 50’s and 70’s eletric circuitry along with wires for the shops below, new-ish wires for my flat and what looks like a water main to irrigate the Nile Valley with. I think I set fire to something too as there was smoke coming from behind the skirting board. I pissed on it to put it out- literally cos I was too fucked off to go find a small thimble of water to put it out
I hope the barber doesn’t come in downstairs tomorrow and find parts of his walls on the floor.
