Alert!
We had an intruder!I saw a man attempting to break into the computer shop last night at 12.30am. Twas a bit scary.
He tried to pull the security gates off the shop front. As the alarms went off, he ran away.
Alarms continued to ring for another 45 minutes, as I checked all the exits were secure. Said man had tried to get in the back entrance too, as my gate had been left open. I did get a little nervous, but I assured myself that things would be ok. I said to myself as he didn’t get in, and the alarms were ringing, and it was early in the morning, that I’d leave running around letting people know until I got up again.
This morning, I found the gate bent in half and Computer man picking bits of computer off the floor – they had got in. It must have been after I had gone back to bed, as I don’t think the alarms go off again once they’ve been triggered and have gone silent again.
I felt a little pang of guilt that I hadn’t done anything, but it’s not really my responsibility to see if his shop’s OK, and besides, I don’t have his phone number, and I certainly wasn’t going to go outside to read it from the front of his shop.
I’ve left it behind for a nice quiet day at work.
I await thunderstorms, Kingsley quiz, and going to Birmingham tomorrow to see all those people called family I left behind. I’m not sure how many of them know I’m gay since I came out to my family, and to be honest, I don’t care. Pay my respects to a man who suffered unnecessarily, maybe a celebratory drink or two and then home again
This bang on the head I’ve had has certainly made me a bit more placid.
