I like this limbo period at work sometimes. I’m still waiting to go, yes, I know.

I’m sitting at work, doing our monthly performance report which basically puts all of the top-line stats regarding hospital activity into twelve pages for each bodypart – so to speak.

I redesigned it last year with our Big Boss and Lord O (The Director of Finance) using as much functionality of excel as I know, but to keep it simple enough that any doughbrain that works for this organisation could fill it in, if needs be. It incorporated the best parts of what went before and it was neatened up....all the ghost links, choose functions, colour-coded graphs, automated cumulatives....again keeping it to one syllables so that any of the morons who actually read this crap could understand it. It took me a month, and if you knew what our information services are like, you’d give me an award.....I assure you 😉

Now, rather than expand, or streamline this for a directorate level, my boss, in my absence, decided to redesign it again.....his way.

Now I sit here, trying to peel away numbers that have been slotted in incorrectly at random and try and make some sense out of it.....and I’m losing my mind doing it.

So......bollocks to it. I’m leaving at the end of this month. I’ve done the bare minimum and he can do the rest as I’m off tomorrow....and the Crow, after 3 years, still doesn’t understand what I do. I could have smacked the bitch today.

The window is being put in the adjoining office tomorrow and good lord knows where the tea and coffee are going. By the way the girls are talking that it may come to blows. As I’m leaving, I’ve lost my enthusiasm to fight the battles now, which is a shame.

And now.....the moment you’ve all been waiting for........my notice is going into Eith’s office.....and all the lovely crap I’ve written (nicely of course) about the Crow will be imprinted forever......(but only in the HR department)

I’ve completely lost the plot today....I’ve just written this drivel and I don’t know why........lots of dots.........mwah mwah
