She finally wins something! Been thinking nice thoughts on my lonesome today
I’ve been trying to locate a few midi files from off t’internet from the old win95 disk that my Ma used to have for her old pc. I don’t know what the name of the one I want is, I’ll know it when I hear it, but the others were called “technocrat” “passport” and “canyon”....if someone knows what the fourth one is I shall be muchly appreciative – I might even suck cock
As I was stripping in the living room today (been good boy – done gardening, trellising, spot of cooking now DIY too) I was listening to the football. All of a sudden I recalled a moment of drunkeness, well more my mother than me, sitting in an Indian restaurant. She was quizzing me about my then new beau – which, if you knew my Mother, she wouldn’t even entertain when sober.
She asked me if I was happy
I nodded and said “yes”
She told me she wasn’t but she was happy that I was at last
If I wans’t pissed I would have cried – and now only thinking back to that moment did I realise how poignant it was.
Sometimes I’d wish I’d realise these things sooner rather than later
