A MYSTERY SHOPPER
We get paid ten of your english pounds to go buy certain items from certain shops, but, as ever the awful actor, I seemed to get rumbled as the Mystery Shopper.
Short of having my shoes polished and my hands dried, I got the full-on sell, but not too full on to scare me. The lady passed all too well.
Tis rather disconcerting going in to a shop with a script. If I was left to my own devices, as I first suggested, I would have swept through there like a whirlwind – instead – i blubbered about “not being able to find the right size” and “can i bring this back for a refund?” It was rather bizarre not being able to shout at anybody for fear of losing hard-earned cash
Never mind. I got a decent shirt from it, but I think I shall leave it to the experts!
