I’m tiredI was playing Monopoly Party on the PS2 til 12 last night then got up at 7.30.......I didn’t get a lot of sleep Sunday night as the Rover quiz dragged on for longer as usual due to the sheer numbers of people crammed into the pub. Nigel’s parents came and weren’t much help apart from getting “Half a Sixpence” as one of the answers but I can’t remember the question.
I did know the “Who Am I?” answer was Morgan Freeman though and we came joint 5th with the team sitting next to us, which looked a bit suspect and we got beer tokens after winning the TV round (lordy lord, for me who never watches TV!)
Bed at 4.30am on Saturday night and back up at 9am to do some tiling with a hangover and play BUZZ! with Jason and Kirsty (who coughed through most of the questions)
BUZZ! is very good. It’s narrated by Jason Donovan and its a good group event if you ever have guests with a light sense of humour and a PS2 available.
I’ve just had to give some woman 30p for a cup of tea as she got upset that she spilt the last one after the door whacked her from behind, as I can’t be doing with more crying today in reception. I’ve also had a lady and her husband storm out after I told her that one of the clinicians had gone home sick.
I remember how hard it was dealing with members of the public and ill ones are even worse.
I managed to win battle of the parents and got hubby to come round to my Mum and Dads for Xmas dinner, but only on her solemn promise that we didn’t have a winged bird for eats, especially not that inedible turkey lark that everyone raves about this time of year.
More Beeney tonight which will inspire me to carry on abusing my Utility room for another few days
No joy on the Art Deco doorhandle mission, though I hear that Homebase have got a sale on.
Random Thought: I need one of these to put my tap on tonight!
