Ow!
I have an abcess and need to have a tooth removed 😞Been feeling run down for a couple of weeks now – and been getting really bad headaches – and it seems like this is the reason why. The pain comes and goes in waves and really is unimaginably bad at times...been putting off going to the dentist for a week because of work stuff – but woke up at 4am yesterday morning in total agony and decided I really needed to do something about it.
Phoned NHS Direct to get a referral to the emergency dentist in Whitechapel – phoned work and told them I’d probably not be in – went down to Barts to find they had no more space for people either morning or afternoon. Told work I’d not be working from home and just wanted a sick day – was pretty sure at this point I couldn’t concentrate at any rate 😞
Went home and watched telly some. Didn’t manage to sleep as it hurt too much. Had been told there was an evening clinic at Whitechapel opening at 7pm – got there for 6:30 to find a huge queue...given ticket 63 when I eventually got through the door so I wandered off for a bit.
Got in to see the dentist at about 8:30 and he told me I had an abcess – poked my teeth and asked if it hurt and it didn’t, which I thought strange – he offered to remove the tooth there and then but said it’d be less comfortable than letting a proper dentist do it, so I wussed out.
Home, then sleep with painkillers. Did have shite dreams. Didn’t have as shite dreams as the night before, which involved bugs invading my flat and covering*everything* and no-one else giving a shit.
My head is fucked up 😊
