Is the news written by journalists?

A pretty misleading article in the Grauniad’s “Comment is Free” section.
Kinda annoyed me. It should state ON THE ARTICLE that the author “Andrew Boff” isn’t a journalist, he’s a conservative spokesman.
“Why Ken isn’t very good, by Andrew Boff” is read differently to me than “Why Ken isn’t very good, by Andrew Boff, London Assembly Conservative spokesman for planning, housing and the Olympics”
Amusingly, on the Comment Is Free section’s header there’s a quote from a Grauniad editor. “Facts are sacred”. Even if this is an opinion piece, it could do with some of them.
And people wonder why I don’t read newspapers...
Still, the comments are awesome and point out many of the errors and omissions in the author’s rant.
